The article "Man and Woman" was written by Bernie Sanders 30 years ago. It speaks of sexual fantasies of men and women, the history of relationships of men and women from the dawn of time and how these relationships have not evolved to support men’s and women’s relationship in current times. Bernie’s paper does not encourage or make light of rape. At no time has Bernie ever encouraged rape or excused rape - unlike the fumbling fathers of the Republican party. And amongst sentient beings (includes apes but not Republicans) it is true and common knowledge that many women have such rape fantasies. Bernie does not dwell on this aspect in his article; his article is not risque. Bernie’s essay is his serious consideration of how men and women are both oppressed by each other and how our roles in society have evolved whereas our basic sexuality has not. It is some deep thinking by Bernie into the human condition, healthy and soul searching. Conservatives are an example of the human condition at its worst and such fathomless expedientlt opportunistic morons could not possibly be expected to be interested in normal human thought or human sexuality - not their thing. Legitimate rape is the misogynistic motto of the GOP.
Of course human relationships and sex are not something Republicans talk about publicly, privately or probably even in their prayers. It is standard Conservative policy to cowardly and mindlessly advance misogyny as such is supported by their magic religiously dysfunctional GOP playbook. Republicans inevitably pronounce idiocies when discussing women’s sexuality so Republicans cannot let anyone outside their party appear to be healthy or feminist or cause human sexuality to be an acceptable topic for discussion without comparing that person to one of their own deviants. In this case, Todd (mean sperm) Akin.
